MMI’s Marine Technology Training Program puts you at the helm of your career!
If you have a love of boats and water, and also have a knack for engines, a career as a marine mechanic or motorboat technician may be the way to go. Marine Mechanics Institute provides students with a marine technology training education that covers everything from Cummins MerCruiser diesels to Honda outboard motors, to Yamaha four stroke engines. Classes and hands-on lab Marine Technology Training course material ranges from outboard engines, stern drive engines, two- and four-stroke engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, hull design, trim and tilt. Students will learn how to use specialized diagnostic, repair, and maintenance equipment. And they’ll learn the business skills needed to make a splash with a long and successful career as a marine mechanic.
Once students complete the basic theory and technology section of the Marine Technology Training program, they go on to take manufacturer-sponsored courses to broaden their knowledge and get the skills and experience they need to get a great job as an entry-level marine technician.
