Three high schools students are awarded full WyoTech Automotive scholarships
After winning the State Skills USA competition at Linn Benton Community College, three lucky Eagle Point high school students were awarded with full scholarships to attend WyoTech’s Automotive Education program. Matt Mendoza, Brandon Griffith and Jered Koch will receive scholarships reaching a sum total of $115,000. Instructor Smith said Eagle Point beat Vincent Polytech and Sabin-Shellanberg Center, both are magnet schools, which means they are specialized training schools.
WyoTech’s Automotive Education and Motorcycle Technology programs take pride in selecting highly talented students for their scholarships, and that talent is best demonstrated by their long list of successful alumni. From Jessi Combs, esteemed co-host of “Xtreme 4×4″ on Spike TV to Jeffrey Imhoff who landed a position on the Steve Johnson Motorcycle Racing Team in his first year after graduating, these former students pave the way for future automotive technicians to come.
