Talk versatility. In the Industrial course segment, you’ll tackle agriculture, construction and excavation equipment. The Diesel segment trains you to service Class 3-8 diesel trucks from air brakes, fuel systems and power trains to advanced diagnostic systems. You’ll work on transport refrigeration and hydraulic applications too. This is uber hands-on training—all in UTI’s state-of-the-industry classrooms. After program completion, specialize your training through manufacturer-supported electives:

DURATION

You have choices. Diesel & Industrial Tech Program is 45 weeks or the Auto/Diesel and Industrial Program is 75 weeks. Classes start every 6 weeks.

Cummins® Diesel

If Cummins defines power, then UTI will give you the edge to master it. UTI offers two Cummins endorsed programs that will give you hands-on training on the latest Cummins technologies.

CUMMINS ENGINE ELECTIVE

In the 12-week Cummins Engines Elective, you’ll train exclusively on Cummins mid-range and heavy duty engines. Its specialized hands-on knowledge that will help prepare you for the real world.

The 12-week Cummins Engine elective gives you top-notch training on Cummins mid-range and heavy duty engines, which power everything from RV’s, emergency vehicles, buses and one out of every four tractor trailers on the road in the United States!

Upon successful completion of the program, you’ll be certified on all Cummins mid-range and heavy-duty engines and all current Cummins systems including:

  • BETT
  • Insite
  • QSOL
  • ISB/ISC/ISL CM850 Engine
  • ISB/ISC/ISL CM2150 Engine
  • ISB/ISC/ISL Engine Overhaul
  • ISM CM870/CM875/CM876 Engine
  • ISX NOW Engine Overhaul
  • ISX CM870/CM871 Engine

Cummins Engine training is a highly selective program. You must apply, meet certain qualifications, be interviewed, and then be accepted to become one of the Cummins elite.

And if you are the best of the best, you may be one of the select students to be endorsed into program by a Cummins distributor. As an endorsed student, you'll receive an employment guarantee, and be eligible for tuition reimbursement and a competitive wage and benefit packages. Neither UTI nor Cummins guarantees endorsement into a program.

Cummins® Power Generation

CUMMINS POWER GENERATION ELECTIVE

The 12-week Cummins Power Generation Elective will help you master the fundamentals of Cummins electrical generators and power generation systems. And upon graduation, you’ll be certified on all Cummins Power Generation products, placing you years ahead of the competition.

If you’d like to master the fundamentals of Cummins Power Generation look no further than UTI’s Cummins Power Generation elective, offered exclusively offered at UTI's Phoenix, AZ campus. This 12-week program focuses on equipment and controls, and engine maintenance of electrical generators and power generation systems that run in a variety of commercial and personal applications.

Upon successful completion of the program, you’ll be certified on all Cummins Power Generation products, including:

Daimler® Trucks

DAIMLER "FINISH FIRST"

The 12-week The Daimler Trucks of North America (DTNA)” Finish First” elective puts you on the road to a career as a Daimler Trucks service technician. As a “Finish First” student, you’ll learn how to maintain, diagnose and repair DTNA products that include Freightliner, Sterling and Western Star Trucks.

As a successful graduate of the program, you’ll get certification in DTNA curriculum courses and become a qualified DTNA service technician – giving you a competitive advantage over other entry-level technicians.

International® Trucks

International and UTI offer an elective and a post-graduate program to advance your skills with trucks, school buses, severe service vehicles and mid-range diesel engines.

INTERNATIONAL TECHNICIAN EDUCATION PROGRAM (ITEP) ELECTIVE

International and UTI offer an elective and a post-graduate program to advance your skills with trucks, school buses, severe service vehicles and mid-range diesel engines.

ITEP - ELECTIVES

The ITEP elective is a 6-week program that can be added to your core Automotive Technology or Diesel & Industrial Technology programs. In this elective you’ll work with diagnostic equipment, electronic systems and engines.

INTERNATIONAL MSAT PROGRAM

International and UTI offer an elective and a post-graduate program to advance your skills with trucks, school buses, severe service vehicles and mid-range diesel engines.

ITEP – MSAT POST-GRADUATE

This 15-week post-graduate program is a highly specialized, invitation-only program that is offered to those students that excel in all areas of study and life. Graduates of this program will earn nearly all International Truck factory training credentials, putting you years ahead of other entry-level technicians.

Qualification Acceptance to an MSAT Program is an honor offered only to those that have a high GPA, stellar attendance and a clean motor vehicle record. You must also pass an entrance exam, drug test and interview. MSAT students may have to relocate, but pay no additional tuition and gain skills that set them apart in their fields.
